Meet Our Coaches
Head 12u Coed and Head 14u Coach: Coach Malia

Coach Malia is our Head 12u and 14u coach for MPA. She recently graduated from Beaumont High School where she played water polo and swam. She has played water polo competitively for 5 years and swam competitively for 14 years. She has earned MVP in swim, got 2nd place at CIF for a relay, broke a school record, and earned All-League and All-CIF honors for water polo and swim. She is excited to pass on her knowledge and love for the sport! She is currently attending CSUSB to obtain her nursing credential. In her free time Malia enjoys hanging out with her family and going to Havasu.
Head 16u Boys Coach: Coach Mayo

Hi my name is Andre Banales and I am currently the Beaumont High School JV boys waterpolo Head Coach as well as the 16u coach for MPA. I played waterpolo at Kennedy High School from 2003 to 2007. I truly enjoyed every moment being a waterpolo athlete except the dreaded morning practices. Many years later, I started teaching at Katella HS and became the Head Coach for the Boys Aquatics Program for three years. My hobbies include jiu jitsu, mountain biking, and spending time with my family.
Head 18u Boys Coach and Administration: Coach Tripp

Coach Tripp is our Head 18U Boys coach. Coach Tripp is a BHS alum. In his four years as a player at BHS, Coach Tripp received 1st Team All League Honors twice, League MVP his senior year, and 1st Team All CIF. He was apart of the 2011-2012 CIF championship team at BHS. He then went on to play at RCC where he was a team captain and received 2nd Team All-Conference honors for the Orange Empire Conference. After his time at RCC, Coach Tripp immediately came back to BHS and assistant coached. During his time as an assistant he helped coach the team to a CIF quarterfinal and semifinal run. In his fourth year he took over as interim head coach and lead the team to another CIF semifinal run. He took a short break from coaching when he got married but has since took over as the head Varsity boys coach at BHS. In his time off Coach Tripp enjoys spending time with his wife and three young boys. Besides water polo, Coach Tripp enjoys watching all sports especially Baseball, Football, and college basketball’s March Madness.
Assistant 18u Boys Coach: Coach Jake

Coach Jake is our assistant 18u Boys coach. Coach Jake is a BHS alumni and played 4 years of varsity water polo. He received 1st Team All League Honors four times, 2nd Team All CIF, 1st Team All CIF twice. Coach Jake was apart of four teams that qualified for CIF for boys waterpolo. He was an essential part of the team going to CIF and they made it to CIF semifinals twice as well as CIF quarterfinals twice. Coach Jake attended college to receive his degree in Kinesiology and was an EMT before deciding to coach. He has been an assistant coach with the Beaumont High School boys and girls for two years. This is his third year as an assistant coach with BHS. When he is not coaching, he enjoys golfing, hanging out with his family, go to concerts, watch sports, and go the gym.
Assistant Coach and Administration: Coach Kaitlynn

Coach Kaitlynn is our assistant coach for all levels if needed. If she is not on deck she is working on behind the scenes stuff to help the coaches and club. Coach Kaitlynn went to Beaumont High School and competed on the water polo and swim teams. She receive 2nd Team All League and 1st Team All League in water polo and swim. She was League MVP for two years in a row. Coach Kaitlynn broke a swim record and went to CIF for two years for swim. After graduating, she attended the University of Redlands where she played Division 3 water polo for four years. She received the SCIAC academic award and made the ACWPC All Academic team for each year she was there. In her freetime, she enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with her family, and chilling at the pool.
